Welcome to our Career Path Directory
a resource for New Yorkers who want to pursue careers in film and television.
No matter your age or level of experience, NYPA wants to help you
connect with resources that are right for you.
Inside, you will find education and training opportunities
– including free and tuition based programs in your area.
- Individuals: Search for programs that match your age, location, interest and professional experience.
- Education & Training programs: List your programs to reach emerging media makers and craftspeople across New York State. The directory is accessible to general public and also will be shared with our high school, college and young adult outreach programs.
To realize diversity in New York State’s entertainment industry by gathering, growing and providing a clearinghouse of information and initiatives focused on increasing inclusion and authentic equality in hiring.
How will we do this?
By providing an industry-wide collective space where employers can post career opportunities — including but not limited to hiring information, diversity-focused initiatives, and educational programs — giving potential employees easy access and where unions can post information about membership, resources and services. We believe diversity is strongly promoted by information outreach that provides full access and demystifies the often opaque nature of the industry.
Why do we do this?
NYPA’s Diversity Task Force seeks to make New York’s entertainment community accessible to all of our diverse communities. We believe increased visibility and accessibility of information will open the path to various jobs in our industry. We believe greater clarity and consistency in accessing timely information is a huge factor towards creating a diverse workforce. By diverse, we mean the intentional inclusion of everyone, including but not limited to, those who continue to be underrepresented because of race, creed, color, national origin, disability, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, family status, marital status, religion, economic class, and/or age.
